CIC Celebrates Dr. Donia Tarek Abdelwahab’s Nomination to Prestigious International Program

The Canadian International College (CIC) is proud to celebrate Dr. Donia Tarek Abdelwahab Mohamed, distinguished alumna and faculty member, for achieving a remarkable milestone: becoming the first CIC graduate ever nominated for the prestigious International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on “Fostering Innovation in Media Studies.” Funded by the U.S. Department of State, the IVLP is recognized as one of the world’s most respected professional exchange programs. The program is unique in that there is no application process—participants are nominated by the U.S. Embassy in recognition of their leadership and professional excellence

Dr. Donia, who has been part of the CIC faculty since 2015, currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Mass Communication Broadcasting Department and Manager of the CIC Media Impact Lab. She proudly represented CIC and Egypt as the only Egyptian participant in this global program. From September 27 to October 18, 2025, Dr. Donia engaged with leading media educators and innovators across five U.S. states—Washington, D.C.; Burlington, Vermont; Atlanta, Georgia; Phoenix, Arizona; and Dallas, Texas. During the program, she visited universities, media institutions, and creative hubs driving innovation in communication and education
