The Mass Communication Department at the Canadian International College (CIC) is pleased to announce the upcoming 9th Annual Mass Communication Conference, to be held on December 11 under the theme “Immersive Media in the Digital Environment | Opportunities and Challenges.”
This year’s conference aims to explore the transformative role of immersive technologies—such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed media—within the evolving digital communication landscape. The event seeks to highlight how these emerging tools are reshaping the ways audiences interact, engage, and consume media in the modern era.
Through a series of academic sessions, keynote speeches, and expert panels, the conference will provide an opportunity for faculty members, students, researchers, and industry professionals to engage in meaningful discussions about the future of communication. Topics will address both the opportunities and challenges of adopting immersive media in various communication fields, including journalism, public relations, and digital production.
The Department of Mass Communication continues its commitment to fostering academic excellence, innovation, and industry collaboration, ensuring that CIC students are well-prepared for the evolving demands of the communication sector.
Further details regarding guest speakers, agenda highlights, and session topics will be announced soon on CIC’s official platforms.
