On Friday, the “Youth Train” set off from Cairo Station to Luxor as part of the “Know Your Country” program, carrying 250 participants from Arab and African universities, including a group of students, academic members, and staff from CIC, to participate in the 14th edition of the Arab-African Youth Forum.
The forum is held from December 12 to 18 in the governorates of Luxor and Aswan, under the theme “Green Universities… A Step Towards a Sustainable Future, organized by the Arab Youth and Environment Union in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Arab League’s Youth and Environment Departments.

Dr. Sayed Khalifa explained that this year’s forum is held in honor of environmental expert Dr. Magdy Allam and includes planting saplings bearing the names of participating universities in Aswan, as part of the Arab-African Youth Initiative and supporting the Presidential Initiative to Plant 100 Million Trees, promoting sustainability and climate change adaptation.
The forum serves as an important platform to enhance the role of youth in environmental work and sustainable development, contributing effectively to building a greener and more sustainable future for Egypt, the Arab world, and Africa.
