We’re proud to share that Dr. Donia Tarek Abdelwahab, Assistant Professor at the Mass Communication Department at CIC, has proudly represented Egypt in a high-level international dialogue held in Brussels, Belgium — following an official invitation from the European Union.
The event, organized by the Anna Lindh Foundation, brought together experts and civil society leaders from across the Euro-Mediterranean region. The closed, high-level session was attended by Dubravka Šuica, Vice President of the European Commission for Democracy and Demography.
Dr. Donia participated in the #ALF4ThePact initiative, which aims to shape the future of cooperation and development between countries across the Mediterranean. Her session focused on the powerful role of media and culture in empowering youth and promoting gender equality.
Drawing from her extensive experience in teaching and research, she spoke about the role of media in shaping public perception around gender issues and shared inspiring examples from Egypt where media and youth initiatives have driven real change for women.
This participation is a true reflection of how young Egyptian academics can play a meaningful role in international policy dialogues — connecting academic knowledge with community impact to build a more inclusive future.https://shorturl.at/Gut3n
