In a new achievement for Arab cinema, the film “Sarab” won the Special Jury Prize at the fifth edition of the Cairo Francophone Film Festival, which was held in the presence of a notable gathering of stars and filmmakers. This award serves as a distinguished recognition for a group of Mass Communication graduates from CIC, who created “Melted Secret” as a product of their talent and artistic dedication, highlighting the capabilities of a new generation of filmmakers in Egypt.

The jury that granted the award was composed of actor Tarek El Ebiary, media figure Maya El Baidah, and director Eman Abdel Moneim. The event also saw the attendance of acclaimed director Amir Ramses, whose presence provided strong support for young talents and outstanding cinematic works.

The ceremony also included special honors for actress Laila Eloui and actress Sherry Adel, in appreciation of their distinguished artistic contributions and their efforts in supporting Arab and Francophone cinema.
The win of “Melted Secret” for Best Film by the Gen Z Jury adds another accolade to its name, affirming its artistic and narrative excellence and reflecting the growth and prosperity of cinema in the region.
