CIC MassCom Hosts “Correct Your Concepts” Seminar

On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, the School of  Mass Communication organized an awareness seminar on the risks of electronic fraud and ways to counter it, in collaboration with the “Sarab” project—a student graduation initiative aimed at enhancing intellectual awareness and supporting student-led efforts.

The seminar brought together faculty, administrative staff, and a large number of students, providing a platform for interactive discussion and learning.

CIC hosted Dr. Mohamed Nassar, Director General of Mosque Administration at the Ministry of Awqaf, who discussed the spread of electronic fraud and its intellectual and psychological impacts.

Dr. Nassar emphasized that combating fraud requires critical thinking and awareness, guided by knowledge and rationality. The initiative aims to correct misconceptions and promote sound, rational understanding among youth.

The seminar concluded with remarks by Dr. Naama Mohy El-Din, Head of the Public Relations and Advertising Department, followed by a Q&A session with students. Dr. Nassar was honored with a certificate of appreciation and a commemorative shield for his contribution.

CIC confirmed that it will continue collaborating with the Ministries of Awqaf and Higher Education to hold similar awareness events across Egyptian universities.
